REM 2020: four live meetings about energy transition

Partecipating to live conferences of REM 2020 (remenergy.it) you will get valuable insights into policies needed to achieve energy transition, cooperation models between Europe and Southern and Eastern Mediterranean countries, and see how gas and technology will help reach the target of sustainable growth.

The Mediterranean region is at a cross-roads of civilizations with its diversity of countries with different economic, political and cultural profiles. The energy demand resulting from the rapid socio-economic development in particular in the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean countries will change the landscape of the entire region.

No fee is due to participate, but advance registration is compulsory.

“Targeting Zero Emissions: new energy products

and environmental solutions”

This live session will offer an overview on the available technology solutions for capturing CO2 and for boosting reuse and circular economy to achieve zero emissions. Innovation is the key to start re-positioning energy, pushing forward carbon neutrality and gas valorization practices while developing clean energy sources as a whole process to deliver solutions for a sustainable low-emissions future.

This technical panel will focus on:

  • Chemical conversion routes which offer the possibility to transform waste materials into high value-added products, thus unlocking all the potential of the Circular Economy paradigm.
  • Decarbonization strategies with the deployment of new technologies. Focus is on the NZT project which aims to decarbonise a cluster of carbon-intensive industries in the UK. It is the largest ongoing CCs project world-wide.
  • Digitalization which can help create new opportunities for integrated solutions to increase efficiency.
