Here we find the most significant machines and technologies that Bosch Packaging Technology presented at CPhI Worldwide in Frankfurt (5 – 7 November).

Xelum R&D dosing system for OSD production

At this year’s CPhI, the Xelum R&D from Bosch Packaging Technology took the next stop of its world tour. It offers pharmaceutical manufacturers an ideal start to continuous oral solid dosage (OSD) production. The machine combines charging, dosing of several ingredients and blending with granulation, drying and discharging in one unit. In contrast to continual mass flow, the Xelum R&D doses excipients and active ingredients as a discrete mass. This way, customers can dose even smallest amounts of APIs of less than one percent.

 

ALF 5000 filling and closing machine for vials and ampoules

Furthermore, Bosch showcased a presenter of the ALF 5000 filling and closing machine for vials and ampoules. The machine achieves an output of up to 600 containers per minute and enables the flexible use of different filling systems. At the ALF 5000 presenter, visitors could to test a Virtual Reality (VR) application for training purposes, for example changing size parts without having to use the cleanroom. “With these trainings, we support our customers in expanding their machine knowledge without great effort,” product manager Tobias Göttler explains. The VR training service is not limited to the ALF 5000; it can also be applied to other machines from Bosch Packaging Technology.

 

TPR 200 tablet press

Bosch Packaging Technology also exhibited the TPR 200 tablet press, designed for small to medium batches with high output and also available with a bi-layer option. In addition the comprehensive range of after sales service such as modernization, maintenance, spare parts and field service are offered.
