Defy corona and lay the foundation for your new innovations. Establish international contacts while saving travel expenses. Expand your business base. “Investing anti-cyclically in ideas and innovations” is the ECP’s new motto. Interdisciplinary networks are the new life insurance for successful entrepreneurs.

Inspiration all along the value chain

At the ECP inspiration comes from every direction, from chemical raw material to the customer’s end-product. The ECP challenges you to leave the beaten track and everyday business for a moment. The focus of the ECP has always been on building trust and sharing knowledge in 20-minute partnering discussions. These one-on-one meetings can be firmly agreed upon in advance. They take place digitally via a secure SSL line, with presentation, video and chat functions.

Other digital formats of the ECP are the keynote, workshops, a digital exhibition and panel discussions at the end of each day. The informal digital meeting also encourages unexpected and accidental conversations. Furthermore, Orange Tie, the main supporter of the ECP, will creatively ensure that the open, informal and unique character of the ECP will also function seamlessly in the digital world.

Details and background

The 3rd ECP Summer Summit will take place from Thursday, September 17 at 10:00 a.m. until Friday, September 18, 2020 at 24:00 CEST and offer the opportunity for international exchange across different time zones. Registration is now possible. In the Corona crisis, the organizer is also offering attractive conditions to first-time participants of the ECP to use the interactive format to introduce new products and explore new markets. Beyond the ECP, ideas, innovations and challenges can be exchanged with the unique Trust Network ipOcean, fast, simple and secure blockchain-backed (www.ipocean.com). The idea of ipOcean was initiated at the 1st ECP Summer Summit.

The European Chemistry Partnering is a growing community of start-ups, medium-sized companies, large companies, investors and service providers who exchange ideas about their projects, innovations and business models. In this way, valuable supporting networks have been created in a short time going far beyond your company’s traditional field of activity and day-to-day business environment. Cooperation between two or more business partners is thus initialized and consolidated.

Motivation: Sustainable innovations

Politicians and society in general are striving more and more to create a circular economy. All entrepreneurs are required to make their contribution to mastering the major tasks we all face such as nutrition, health, housing, mobility, energy and consumption for the world’s growing population; entirely in line with the 17 sustainability goals of the United Nations and a more humane management of our planet for future generations.

European Chemistry Partnering: A brief overview

European Chemistry Partnering is an event format in which the focus is on discussion about innovation along the value chain. It is aimed at decision makers, innovation managers and investors in the chemical industry and its many user industries, as well as industry-focused stakeholders and qualified service providers and consultants.

The ECP consists of the elements: Keynote Speech, Partnering, Pitches, Exhibition, Workshops and Final Panel. Companies can describe their innovations in short presentations (Pitches) and – this is the core element of ECP – can arrange appointments via a software tool in advance (Partnering). The European Chemistry Partnering was conceived and initiated by Dr Holger Bengs, CEO of BCNP Consultants GmbH. The first event took place in 2017 and has been now organized twice a year since 2018.
